The MCHOSE K99 is a top-tier plastic keyboard featuring a 98% layout, a separate numeric keypad, vibrant RGB backlighting, and three connection modes. It also offers two types of switches: KTT Hyacinth Switch and Kailh Icy Creamsicle Switch, making it a favorite among office workers and enthusiasts alike.

I. Installing Software and Drivers

To get started, download the necessary software for Windows: Mchoose HUB Password:0000.Make sure to read the following instructions after downloading.

  1. Connect the Keyboard: Use the provided USB cable to connect the MCHOSE K99 to your computer (avoid using Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless for this step).
  2. Software Setup: Once connected, launch the software to adjust the LED settings and keymap according to your preferences. If a new firmware version is available, ensure a stable USB connection before proceeding with the update.

II. Adjusting Connection Modes

Bluetooth Connection (Switch to BT on the keyboard's bottom):

  1. Press and hold the FN + 1 key simultaneously for a few seconds (the status indicator light will flash blue).
  2. Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and select either MCHOSE K99 5.0 or MCHOSE K99 3.0 to connect.
  3. To connect a second device, hold FN + 2 until the indicator light flashes purple, then repeat the previous steps.
  4. To connect a third device, hold FN + 3 until the light flashes blue, then repeat the connection process.

Once all devices are connected, you can switch between them by pressing FN + 1/2/3 (you only need to press, not hold, to switch).

Wireless 2.4G Connection (Switch to the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom of the keyboard):

The wireless receiver is conveniently located next to the BT switch.

  1. Press and hold FN + ` until the status light flashes quickly.
  2. Plug the receiver into your computer's USB port to start using the keyboard.

Wired Connection (Switch to the middle position labeled Line):

Simply plug in the USB cable, and the keyboard is ready to use.

IV. Tips and Notes for Optimal Use

Battery Notification: When using 2.4GHz or Bluetooth mode, the status indicator light continuously shows the battery status (reset to factory state if needed). The battery level is indicated by the light's color: Red for low battery, orange for medium, and green for fully charged. You can also check the battery level through Bluetooth on your connected device.

Switching Between Mac and Windows Modes: If you notice the Alt and Win keys have swapped, the keyboard is in Mac mode. Switch back to Windows mode using FN + A.

Charging Note: Always charge the keyboard via the computer's USB port. Avoid using power banks, laptop chargers, or phone chargers.
